Originally, this was written for my parents for all their hard work, sacrifices, and the love with which they nurtured my career. Their dream was to see me perform as a concert pianist in Carnegie Hall. And, it was my dream to have them there in my audience one day. All our dreams were realized when I dedicated this song to them when performed for my first time in Carnegie Hall.

We’ve all had people in our lives who have helped us along our journey in life. Some we’ve been able to thank in person and others – only with our thoughts and wishes from our hearts. As you listen to “Gratitude”, you may like to take a few moments to remember them and thank them. I’m sure they’ll feel your wishes – no matter where they are. When I play this piece in my live performances today, I always think of my parents as well as all the people, including those in my audiences, that have enriched my life and I’m thankful for.
